Soap2day – Evangeline Lilly says that it's time for her character to get a movie all on her own. In "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", where she plays Hope van Dyne/Wasp again, the 43-year-old actress plans to make it clear that she wants the character to be the focus of her own movie.
"Well, I'm going to make a case for a Hope spin-off... for a Wasp movie that doesn't involve Hope. Do we agree? Anybody? Once... twice, "At the film's world premiere in Los Angeles on February 6, Evangeline told Variety:
Since "Ant-Man" came out in 2015, the "Lost" actress has been a part of the MCU, and she feels like she fits in well with the other superheroes. Evangeline said, "When we first came into the universe, Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, and all the original gangsters were already there, so it was already set up."
"And we were just like these new kids who were trying to prove themselves. And now, all of a sudden, we're in the middle, at the point where Phase 5 starts, and it feels awesome."
Lilly said before that she had a lot to do with the movie's script. She said, "I have a lot of thoughts, and I'd love to share them with you and tell you what I think about everything."
"And to do it with confidence and clarity, instead of, like I usually do before I even say anything, sweeping my own ideas under the rug. Like, "Yeah, this probably isn't a good idea, but..." or "You don't have to use this, I'll just tell you what it is.""
